Receive your sight.
—Luke 18:42
The blind beggar shouted, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”
“What do you want me to do for you?”
“Lord, I want to see.”
“Receive your sight,” Jesus said.
Would he properly use the gift that Jesus gave? Every time Jesus helps someone he knows there is a chance that the blessing will be misused.
Even so, he doesn’t insist on a signed contract before extending blessings …
Doesn’t demand that you pledge to be a faithful steward of increased financial blessings.
Doesn’t shut off your oxygen supply when you misuse his favors.
Doesn’t take back the gifts he’s granted when you forget to say “thank you.”
But now would be a good time to do just that.
Some have more resources than you;
let none have more gratitude than you.
