Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place.
—Mark 6:31
“Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed” (Mk. 1:35).
He needed a quiet place to be alone with the Father. So do you.
Those who come to him don’t leave as they came.
A shady lady came with sins exposed … and left with sins forgiven.
A woman came ill … and left healthy.
A tax collector came knowing he was hated … and left knowing he was loved.
Come to him in a quiet place. Spend time with him before the day’s demands come knocking at your door. Talk to him. Listen to him. You won’t leave as you came.
Pick the place and the time.
He will meet you there for a one-on-one.
