Where your treasure is,
there your heart will be also.
—Matthew 6:21
Here is the shortest course on investment decisions ever presented: “No one can serve two masters . . . You cannot serve both God and Money” (Mt 6:24).
This course isn’t one that we encourage our children to sign up for in college. Nor does it promote what many of us have pursued in our own University of Life. It doesn’t boast many graduates; alums are few and far between.
Reveal what we treasure, and we reveal the address of our heart’s home.
When our primary goal is stacking it up here instead of storing it up there, we’ve made our life’s major investment decision.
“What profit is there if you gain the whole world—and lose eternal life?” (Mt 16:26 TLB).
Your treasure and your heart aren’t
partitioned; they occupy the same room.
