Today’s news will hype politicians who puff and pontificate and financial tycoons who compete for power and prominence.
Most of these chest pounders will pass into the musty archives of forgotten history in short order.
Nine U.S. billionaires died in 2023. Each came into this world with nothing and left it with the same amount (1 Tm 6:7).
What is important is what happens “when this passing world is done.”
Eminent scientist Thomas Edison asked Bishop William Anderson, “What is to become of us and where are we to be when this short life ends?” It was a question that science could not answer.
Jesus could: “I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in me, even though they die, will live” (Jn 11:25).
Eternity eclipses time.
