Seek the Lord while he may be found.
—Isaiah 55:6
Describe your life in one word.
Busy! Is that the word?
You have a full plate; fish to fry; irons in the fire. You’re on the go; up to your ears; full throttle; overloaded; snowed; swamped.
Anything wrong with that? Yes, if it means that time with God has to be shoehorned into a few comatose minutes at the end of the day.
Encounter your God before you encounter your day. And seek his companionship and counsel in every decision throughout the day.
David was busy running a kingdom, but he said, “I seek you with all my heart” (Ps. 119:10). And he told his son Solomon, “If you seek him, he will be found by you” (1 Chron. 28:9).
