Blessed are those who find wisdom
—Proverbs 3:13
Not all wisdom is cut from the same cloth.
There is a worldly wisdom that is driven by envy and selfish ambition. “Such ‘wisdom’ . . . is earthly, unspiritual, demonic.” It bears the fruit of “disorder and every evil practice” (Jas 3:14–16).
Then there is a heavenly wisdom. It is “pure, peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere” (Jas 3:17). It wears no mask and is displayed by a good life: “Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life” (Jas 3:13).
This heavenly wisdom is yours for the asking: “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously . . . and it will be given to you” (Jas 1:5).
Place your order for heavenly wisdom.
