According to your faith let it be done to you.
—Matthew 9:29
Life-changing faith isn’t a breezy belief that God exists and that the Bible is true. It’s a question of how much you are willing to let your weight down on God’s promises; how far you will go before you begin to question.
When God told Abraham to leave home and begin the hike to a mystery destination, he “obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going.”
But when God told him he would have jillions of descendants, his faith got shaky. He was an old man married to an old woman, and they had no children. It seemed a little late to get this show on the road.
The searching question for you—and it’s a tough one—is not, “Do you believe?” but “How deeply do you believe?”
Deep faith enables you to believe what you cannot prove
and accept what you cannot understand.
