Trust in the Lord with all your heart.
—Proverbs 3:5
It isn’t easy to trust God when you’re up to your eyeballs in problems you don’t understand.
But that’s what trust is—confidence in God’s love and sovereignty when your own understanding is murky.
Trust is conviction that God is in control when it seems everything is out of control.
Trust is conviction that God is present when it seems he is absent.
Your understanding is limited. God’s isn’t.
He knows what he is doing; you may not.
He knows where he is taking you; you may not.
Trust him, even when you don’t understand.
Trust faces east, looking for the dawn,
singing while it is still dark.
