Do you still not understand?
—Mark 8:21
For a couple of days, we’re looking at a dozen questions Jesus asked. Six of them were posted yesterday; the other six today.
When you read Jesus’ questions as if they were addressed directly to you, you get in this-is-about-me-and-Jesus-in-the-here-and-now mode,
- Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say? (Lk 6:46).
- Where is your faith? (Lk 8:25).
- When the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth? (Lk 18:8).
- Why are you troubled, and why do doubts rise in your mind? (Lk 24:38).
- How can you believe if you accept praise from one another, yet make no effort to obtain the praise that comes from the only God? (Jn 5:44).
- Do you love me? (Jn 21:17).
Questions that put you in the game.
