Whoever has understanding is even-tempered.
—Proverbs 17:27
Are you considering leaving your marriage, location, job, or church?
Is it an accumulation of many irritations and no apparent solutions? Or is it only an issue or two?
Before you throw in the towel, make two lists: one of the things that are favorable where you are—and another of the things that are unfavorable.
Don’t make the mistake of forfeiting many good things because of one distasteful thing. You may be swapping one set of problems for another.
Sometimes change is unavoidable. But approach it cautiously. Changing your attitude may be a better solution than changing your marriage partner, location, job, church—or whatever is upsetting you.
Caution: Some changes are irreversible.
