Cast all your anxiety on him
because he cares for you.
—1 Peter 5:7
What’s eating at you? Health gone bad? Marriage gone sour? Child gone haywire? Finances gone south? Hope gone belly up?
Does God know? Does he care?
After all, he has his hands full. Somewhere in the world, there’s a war going on. Somewhere there’s a natural disaster that’s crushing everything in its path. Somewhere there’s a pandemic that’s claiming lives by the thousands.
With all this on his plate, how could God be concerned about you: one person with one piddling problem?
Well, he is your Father. He knows your problem, and it’s not piddling to him. He is concerned about it.
The Living Bible translates 1 Peter 5:7 this way: “Let him have all your worries and cares, for he is always thinking about you and watching everything that concerns you.”
Remember that.
While facing what is against you
don’t forget who is for you.
