We get knocked down, but we
get up again and keep going.
—2 Corinthians 4:9
Despite a boatload of problems, Paul never gave up: “We are perplexed because we don’t know why things happen as they do, but we don’t give up and quit . . . We get knocked down, but we get up again and keep going . . . we never give up” (2 Cor 4:8–9, 16).
Seeing the big picture—as only he can—God decides when to send answers to your prayers and when to delay them. Be grateful when he sends them; wait patiently when he delays them.
It pleases us when he sends quick answers. It pleases him when we trust him without quick answers.
It is human to want to see before believing. It is Spirit-led to believe before seeing.
“Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed” (Jn 20:29).
He who knows what is best will
send the best answer at the best time.
