I will fear no evil, for you are with me.
—Psalm 23:4
The Bible is packed with stories of divine deliverance.
Lot’s deliverance from Sodom.
Isaac’s deliverance from the altar of sacrifice.
Joseph’s deliverance from prison.
Israel’s deliverance from Egypt.
Elijah’s deliverance from Jezebel.
David’s deliverance from Saul.
Jonah’s deliverance from the whale’s belly.
Jeremiah’s deliverance from the dungeon.
Shadrach’s, Meshach’s, and Abednego’s deliverance from the fiery furnace.
Daniel’s deliverance from the lions’ den.
Peter’s deliverance from prison.
Paul’s deliverance from Damascus, jail, and shipwreck.
Each of those stories is drenched in drama. So is yours. Whatever you’re facing is no match for God: “He will provide a way out so that you can stand up under it” (1 Cor 10:13).
“[He] will never leave you nor forsake you. So [you] can confidently say, ‘The Lord is my helper; I will not fear’” (Heb 13:5–6).
God is close enough to hear your whisper.
