There is no one righteous, not even one.
—Romans 3:10
Callous religious leaders hauled a humiliated woman to the front of a group Jesus was teaching. Rudely interrupting him, they said, “This woman was caught in the act of adultery. In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?”
We all know what he said: “If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her” (Jn 8:7).
One by one, they vacated the space until not a single accuser remained.
Rock throwers are a dime a dozen—until forced to face their own flaws and faults.
Jesus—the only one qualified to sling a stone—refused to condemn the dreadfully messed up woman and gave her another chance (Jn 8:11).
Shouldn’t we do the same?
The forgiven should become forgivers.
