Grace, mercy and peace from
God the Father and from Jesus Christ.
—2 John 3
Grace. Mercy. Peace. Incomparable gifts.
Grace is the undeserved favor of God.
Mercy is the unmerited compassion of God.
Peace is the unequaled gift of God—realized when the guilt of sin is erased by his grace and the misery of sin is eliminated by his mercy.
Mercy abstains from giving us what we deserve—condemnation and hell.
Grace gives us what we don’t deserve—forgiveness and heaven.
When we realize that God refrains from giving us what we deserve and that he graciously gives us what we don’t deserve, we experience “the peace of God, which transcends all understanding” (Phil 4:7).
“Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord” (2 Pt 1:2).
Grace. Mercy. Peace.
Gift-wrapped by God and left at your door.
