You will take me into glory.
—Psalm 73:24
I miss Paul Harvey. He gave us a lift by talking about the good guys and gals—told us about honest people doing honorable things. And there was never a need to wash his mouth out with soap.
I miss Erma Bombeck. She made me laugh. She never resorted to the sordid—didn’t cuss or tell dirty jokes—just told down-home stories with her hilarious twist that brightened our days.
Wretched news dominates current newscasts—leaving us feeling that everything and everyone everywhere is bad.
Is there any good news? There sure is.
Presently, it is “Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Col 1:27). And finally, it is him coming in person to take you home to glory (Ps 73:24).
As Paul Harvey would say, “Now you know the rest of the story.”
God is out to get you—home.
