God has arranged the parts of the body,
every one of them, just as he wanted them to be.
—1 Corinthians 12:18
Looking back over a lifetime of ministry, I can’t think of a single position I’ve held that I felt qualified to fill. There was always too much I didn’t know and too many abilities I didn’t have.
One of the most liberating realizations of my life was that I didn’t have to be a hundred percent qualified before jumping in—even when I felt that I couldn’t do the job as well as it should be done or thought that someone else could do it better.
You are needed where you are with what you have. You don’t need a seminary degree to do God’s work. You are a vital part of the body. Don’t let Satan keep you on the sideline by convincing you that you’re not qualified.
The fact that you can’t do something perfectly
isn’t an acceptable excuse for doing nothing.
