Give thanks to him and praise his name.
—Psalm 100:4
We live in a nation that births and applauds the indomitable spirit—a nation that nurtures the conviction that no matter where you are, there is no limit to where you can go; that no matter what your circumstances, you can change them; that no matter what your status, you can achieve what you can visualize.
“We have been the recipients of the choicest blessings of heaven. … We have grown in numbers, wealth and power as no other nation ever has grown. But we have forgotten God! We have forgotten the gracious hand which preserved us in peace, and multiplied and enriched and strengthened us …” So said Abraham Lincoln in 1863.
All you need to do to see what happens to those who forget God is have a look at ancient Israel. Don’t let this day slip by without considering God’s incredible blessings and thanking him for them.
Count your blessings and
make your blessings count.
