Your will be done.
—Matthew 6:10
Patience is often a missing ingredient in our prayers. Waiting may not be your long suit—you want an immediate response when you pray. But God’s answer may require some repair work on your relationship with him.
It’s a submission issue. Until you get to the point where you can say, “Your will be done,” you will be feeding God the answer you’ve decided on–telling him to do it your way. In other words, you’ll be calling the play and asking God to put his omnipotent muscle to work to make it happen.
That mindset assumes that you know the right answer better than God does. You have to jump the submission hurdle before God’s reply to your prayer can make it to your door.
Trust God to answer your prayer
in the right way, at the right time.
