How sweet are your words to my taste.
—Psalm 119:103
Bombarded with negative news, I think we need a dose of Mary Poppins—a bit of this delightful fictional nanny’s levity and positivity. Here are a few words from the 1964 award-winning fantasy film.
I bet you can’t even recall this word without grinning: “supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.”
“What do you get when you feed the birds? Fat birds.”
“Just a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down.”
Which reminds me of the psalmist’s words: “How sweet are your words to my taste; they are sweeter than honey” (Ps 119:103); “Taste and see that the Lord is good. Oh, the joys of those who trust in him” (Ps 34:8).
A daily dose of the Word will keep you calm. God is in control—everything is going to be all right.”
Smile and be positive.
It drives negative people crazy.
