Life isn’t a sprint; it’s a marathon—a long, demanding race. Someone needs your encouragement to negotiate it—to endure, achieve, finish.
Encouragement has tremendous power.
Here is a trio of verses that call us to the mutual ministry of encouragement.
“Help carry one another’s burdens” (Gal 6:2).
“Encourage one another and build each other up” (1 Thes 5:11).
“Encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with everyone . . . be kind to each other” (1 Thes 5:14).
“I’ve learned,” said Maya Angelou, “that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”
Be somebody who makes
everybody feel like somebody.
