How many are your works, O Lord!
—Psalm 104:24
When you see the word Free, you’re skeptical—where’s the small print?
God dispenses lots of free resources. No strings.
I sit on my patio and watch a panorama of sky, clouds, grass, trees, and flowers. When the season changes, so does the scene. There’s no charge to watch this nature ballet. It’s free.
I take an imaginary flight, touching down in many places, looking at faces, and sitting once again with people I’ve known and loved. The ticket costs nothing. It’s free.
I step outside on a crisp morning and take in deep breaths of revitalizing air—God’s oxygen therapy. It’s priceless but . . . It’s free.
Best of all: “God gives us a free gift—life forever in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Rom 6:23).
Be aware of the priceless
things that have no price.
