Stargazing

What is man that you are mindful of him?
                                       —Psalm 8:4

Can you get the President’s attention? Not likely. Can you get God’s attention? You already have. Twinkling stars on a backdrop of black sky filled David with wonder:

When I look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers—the moon and the stars you have set in place—what are mortals that you should think of us, mere humans that you should care for us? (Ps. 8:3-4 NLT).

Stargazing can do that to you; make you feel small and insignificant. But don’t fool yourself—there is not a star in the sky that has a smidgen of your value. God has crowned you with glory and honor (Ps. 8:5). He’s crazy about you!

How people view you may be in question,
but how God views you is not.
