Run the race that is before [you]
and never give up.
—Hebrews 12:1
Pluck. Spunk. Grit. Starch. Mettle. The right stuff. These words describe Joshua (Jo 24:15), Daniel (Dn 1:8), Peter and John (Acts 4:19). These guys had spine.
The words also describe you. You have what it takes.
You avoid company that corrupts you (1 Cor 15:33), procrastination that robs you (Prv 24:30–34), and rationalization that lies to you (Prv 12:15; 14:15).
You won’t quit (Gal 6:9); you will complete the task God has given you (Acts 20:24); you will fight the fight, keep the faith, and finish the race (2 Tm 4:7).
You will win because you have pluck, spunk, grit, starch, mettle, the right stuff.
A resolute person accomplishes remarkable
things against overwhelming odds.
