He knew it was just a matter of time until the insecurity, immorality, and insanity of the führer would be exposed and expunged.
Watergate. Memories of the scandal linked to that word still sting. We Americans resisted the thought of corruption in the Oval Office. It was unthinkable. Until it wasn’t.

The dark side exists in unsuspected places—but lies don’t remain unexposed; affairs don’t remain undetected; sin doesn’t remain undiscovered.
