I want to know Christ
and the power of his resurrection.
—Philippians 3:10
It was a devastating day when death dropped by the Bethany home where Jesus had often enjoyed the company of Mary, Martha, and Lazarus.
Looking into the eyes of a grieving sister, Jesus said, “Your brother will rise again . . . He who believes in me will live, even though he dies . . . Do you believe this?”
“Yes, Lord,” she said.
Do you? Do I? Can we say, “Yes, Lord, I believe!”?
The resurrection should sort our ambitions. My preeminent priority should be that “I myself will be raised from death to life” (Phil 3:11 TEV).
We live for a while. We die.
Then we live forever.
