I have loved you with an everlasting love.
—Jeremiah 31:3
There isn’t anything about us that God doesn’t know.
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,” God told Jeremiah; “before you were born I set you apart” (Jer 1:5). Paul said ditto for us: that God chose us before the creation of the world (Eph 1:4).
From then until now we have never been out of God’s sight and mind.
There’s no need to worry that he will discover something in our past that will cause him to become disillusioned with us because he already knows the worst about us.
He sees the unbecoming things in us that our fellow humans do not see, and the ugly things in us that even we do not see.
There is indescribable comfort in knowing that in spite of all this, he loves us.
God loves you totally. He will never
love you more or less than he does at this moment.
