[I]t is not for man to direct his steps.
—Jeremiah 10:23
Your toddler thought you were messing up, mismanaging her world; when she was a teenager she was sure of it.
You’re God’s kid, viewing the world from a child’s perspective. When you fuss and fume, grumble and gripe, you are implying that God is mismanaging your world; that you could do a better job of running things.
God is omniscient; knows everything about everything. Because of your limitations, God has engineered you to live by faith, not by sight (2 Cor 5:7).
You don’t know what God knows or see what God sees: “[M]y thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways . . . As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts” (Is 55:8–9).
Trust him.
God isn’t term limited.
