May the God of hope fill you with all
joy and peace as you trust in him.
—Romans 15:13
The calloused hands of a tough-as-nails dad turn tender in brushing away the tears of his child.
Though God has all power, he is a Father of gentleness.
He is never distant: he is your “ever-present help in trouble” (Ps 46:1).
He is “the God of hope”—a hope that connects you to him and heaven.
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope . . .” (Rm 15:13).
“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer” (Rm. 12:12).
Live through disappointment
by refusing to give up hope.
