There are only two things we can worry about: things we control, and things we don’t.
It’s unreasonable to worry about things we control because if we control them we can change them.
It’s equally irrational to worry about things we don’t control because if we don’t control them we can’t change them.
Most of us spend a top-heavy slice of life worrying about money. Those who are short of it worry about not having it, and those who have lots of it worry about losing it.
That’s exactly what’s going to happen—we’re going to lose it: “We brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it” (1 Tm 6:7).
