What do we have to show for our years of serving Christ?
Much!
Moved by mercy he has not treated us as our sins deserve. Moved by grace he has given us what we don’t deserve—forgiveness and salvation.
We have been justified, redeemed, reconciled, and cleansed.
He speaks to us through his Word, and we are invited to speak to him through prayer. Both Jesus and the Holy Spirit are praying and interceding for us.
We have the fellowship of the saints—a family of brothers and sisters that mean the world to us.
And of this we are sure … we have been with the greatest captain who ever sailed the seas. He knows these waters and how to bring the ship safely to port, transporting us to glory.
O Captain! My Captain!
What he has done causes me to
want to do what he wants me to do.
