You have never seen this day before, for it has never been before. And you will never see this day again, for it will never be again.
You will see faces today for the first and last time, for they are not the same faces you saw yesterday; they have changed since then, if ever so slightly. And they are not the same faces you will see tomorrow; they will change by then, if ever so slightly.
Everything you see today you are seeing for the first and last time; everything you see today has a “hello” and a “goodbye” to it.
If today is the first day of the rest of your life, as the saying goes, today is also the last day of your life up until now.
Yesterday is gone forever. Tomorrow hasn’t arrived.
Today is the only day there is.
