All these people were still
living by faith when they died.
—Hebrews 11:13
Before Darwin—and later evolutionary proponents—most people believed that God created earth for the benefit of humans; that people were God’s main interest.
God was seen as a Father who loved every person, no matter how insignificant their position or meager their possessions.
Believers were convinced that God was concerned when humans suffered—that he was at every sickroom in times of illness, at every elbow in times of crisis, at every bedside in times of passing.
It was—and is—a faith worth having.
The moment comes when believer and unbeliever alike must go. At that moment the believer wins.
For the believer it isn’t the end; it’s the beginning.
As long as you have faith
you will never be without hope.
