He who is not with me is against me.
—Matthew 12:30
Drift can’t last forever; there comes a time when you must make a decision.
This isn’t a group exercise; it is personal—just between you and Jesus. It’s not an emotional decision made in the presence of a big crowd in a big arena; it is a one-on-one with Jesus in the privacy of your own space.
The first question comes down to this: is there something you need to do to get right with him?
The follow-up question is this: are you going to dodge the first question, or answer it?
There is a crucial point where you have to decide if you’re going to walk with him or walk away from him. It can’t be avoided, for to refuse to decide is to decide.
The one decision you can’t
avoid is the decision to decide.
