We have different gifts,
according to the grace given us.
—Romans 12:6
Moses had a staff. Rahab had a rope. David had a sling. Dorcas had a needle.
And then there was the guy that had a donkey that Jesus rode into Jerusalem, and into the hearts of millions.
Have you ever thought of your gift as something Jesus needs to get to another place, into another heart?
You do have such a gift, you know. “Christ has given each of us special abilities—whatever he wants us to have out of his rich storehouse of gifts” (Eph. 4:7 TLB). “The Spirit has given each of us a special way of serving others” (1 Cor. 12:7 CEV).
Underline the “each of us” in those two sentences. Not some of us. Not a few of us. Each of us.
Talent is a gift.
Use of talent is a choice.
