I will be with him in trouble.
—Psalm 91:15
The Papago Freeway Tunnel is a half-mile slice of Interstate Highway 10 that snakes under downtown Phoenix. Motorists in trouble can contact the Papago controller by picking up one of the emergency phones in the tunnel.
It’s a remarkable piece of engineering. But God’s surveillance system would fry the brain of the brightest engineer. He has his eye on every person on earth: “From heaven the Lord looks down and sees all mankind; from his dwelling place he watches all who live on earth” (Ps. 33:13-14).
With God’s setup you don’t have to plod from pain to pain to the nearest call-station. His system is voice-activated. All you need to do is speak, from wherever you are. “When you call to me, I will answer you. I will be with you when you are in trouble” (Ps. 91:15 GWT).
If he doesn’t pick up on the first ring,
don’t worry. He’ll get back to you.
