A will is in force only
when somebody has died.
—Hebrews 9:17
Your Last Will and Testament declares how you have decided to distribute your possessions. You sign it while you’re living, but it isn’t implemented until you die.
When Jesus died he gave his spirit to his Father (Lk. 23:46), his body to Joseph of Arimathea (Lk. 23:50-53), his clothes to the soldiers who crucified him (Jn. 19:23-24), his mother to John (Jn. 19:26-27), and his peace to his disciples (Jn. 14:27).
That bequest of peace was not just for those first disciples, it was for all disciples—your name is on the list of beneficiaries. “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you … Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid” (Jn. 14:27).
You are in His Will.
