He always lives to intercede.
—Hebrews 7:25
Christ’s intercession for you is personal—you have no need about which he is indifferent, no problem about which he is unconcerned.
He sympathizes with your weakness, whatever it may be, and comes alongside you with an abundant supply of mercy and grace to lift you up in your time of need (Heb. 4:15, 16).
Think of it! He is at the right hand of God at this very moment—yes, at this very moment—interceding for you (Rom. 8:34).
From Aaron to the destruction of the Temple in AD 70, there were 83 high priests. They are all dead.
But Jesus, your great high priest, is alive and active—“able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them” (Heb. 7:25).
When you are face-to-face with trouble,
he is face-to-face with your Father.
