Certainty of the Invisible

Faith is confidence in what we hope for
and assurance about what we do not see.
                       —Hebrews 11:1

The things we Christians wholly believe in and depend on are invisible: God, Jesus, Holy Spirit, and Heaven.

We shout it out in song:

There is beyond the azure blue;
A God concealed from human sight.

Our God whose Son upon a tree,
A life was willing there to give,
That He from sin might set man free,
And evermore with Him could live.

We follow a God Triune whom we can’t see, for a lifetime that we can’t measure, to a heaven that we can’t comprehend. We entrust our life and eternity to what we cannot see, but what we know is more real than what we can see, hear, and touch.

Our faith in the promises of God is unequivocal, uncompromised, and unconditional.

By faith we know that God exists
and that heaven is real.
