When I find it convenient,
I will send for you.
—Acts 24:25
Have you heard about the Procrastinators Anonymous Club?
- Meetings were rare because the secretary seldom got around to sending out information about where and when.
- Breakfast meetings never started before noon.
- They had their Christmas party in July.
Some procrastinations are funny; some aren’t.
Governor Felix kept Paul in prison for two years, and left him there when his successor took over. Felix was terrified by Paul’s sermon on “righteousness, self-control and the judgment to come,” but responded by telling Paul, “That’s enough for now! You may leave. When I find it convenient, I will send for you.” So far as we know, a convenient time never came for Felix.
Procrastination about salvation is a dangerous game with a season-ending score.
The result of procrastination is termination.
