Always keep on praying.
—1 Thessalonians 5:17
He was a helpless paralytic. Someone had to bathe him, shave him, and feed him.
Four compassionate friends heard that Jesus was in town. Word had it that he could heal. So they loaded their invalid friend on a stretcher and off they went. But a packed house blocked their way into Jesus’ presence.
Give up? No way! They climbed to the roof, dismantled it, and lowered their friend right down in front of Jesus. “When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralyzed man, ‘Son, your sins are forgiven’” (Mk 2:5).
Do you see it? What moved Jesus to act was “their faith”—the faith of these friends.
It may be “your faith”—displayed by your actions and prayers that God sees and hears—that makes the difference for someone.
Never give up.
