God Weeps When You Weep

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted.
                              —Psalm 34:8

Are you in a chokehold by a problem that seems to have no remedy?

I am unaware of the personal burdens of most of my readers, but am aware that most readers have them.

God knows you and everything about you. He is aware of your problems, pains, and pressures. And he is concerned. As he said to Hezekiah, “I have heard your prayer and seen your tears” (2 Kgs 20:5).

Repeat these words of the psalmist as your own: “You have recorded my troubles. You have kept a list of my tears” (Ps 56:8 NCV).

You hurt. You weep. God feels your hurt, sees your tears, and weeps with you.

God weeps? Yes, I think so. Doesn’t every parent whose child is hurting?

You are God’s child.
When you hurt, he hurts.
