Be kind and compassionate to one another.
—Ephesians 4:32
Kindness. “I love that word,” said R.C. Sproul. “I want to be a kind person. I don’t want to be known for being mean. I hope it will be chiseled on my tombstone: ‘This was a kind man.’”
“Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up” (Eph 4:29).
In King Lemuel’s tribute to the virtuous woman, he said, “The teaching of kindness is on her tongue” (Prv 31:26).
Stephen Grellet wrote: “I shall pass through this world but once. Any good, therefore, that I can do or any kindness that I can show to any human being, let me do it now. Let me not defer it or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.”
A small act of kindness may be
the biggest thing you do today.
