Be careful what you think,
because your thoughts run your life.
—Proverbs 4:23
Dale Carnegie, Napoleon Hill, Clement Stone, and Norman Vincent Peale didn’t originate the genre of Thought Control. Predating those notables by centuries, Solomon personified Wisdom as saying, “Be careful what you think, because your thoughts run your life” (Prv 4:23 NCV). Or, as the King James had it, “As [a man] thinketh in his heart, so is he” (Prv 23:7).
How you think is the thermostat that regulates how you feel and what you accomplish. And you’re the one who sets the thermostat. Negative or Positive: your choice. Those private mind-speeches you entertain determine how your day—and your life—goes.
