Before you were born I set you apart.
—Jeremiah 1:5
God knew something about Jeremiah that Jeremiah didn’t know: “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart” (Jer 1:5). God knew Jeremiah’s purpose; Jeremiah had to learn it.
The apostle Paul said that God set him apart from his mother’s womb (Gal 1:15) and that his only aim was to complete the ministry the Lord had given him (Acts 20:24).
Do you know your purpose in life—or better stated, do you know God’s purpose for your life?
There is no greater or lesser purpose. The missionary has no greater purpose than the mother whose purpose was to raise the missionary.
Mark Twain said, “The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.”
God knows the purpose of your life.
Do you?
