People with quick tempers cause trouble.
—Proverbs 15:18
A trigger temper is a sign of immaturity. Childish people are easily provoked.
“Anger is a bad counselor,” runs a French proverb.
A Korean proverb has it this way: “If you kick a stone in anger, you’ll hurt your own foot.”
Whoever makes you angry controls you. Why should you give someone that power over your life?
“One who is quick-tempered acts foolishly” (Prv 14:17).
When you allow temper to take control, you’re almost certain to say and do things that can’t be unsaid or undone.
When you lose your temper, you lose.
