Why is my language not clear to you?
—John 8:43
Jesus asked a lot of questions. I’ve chosen a dozen of them for your perusal. I’m presenting six of them today and will post the rest tomorrow.
Imagine Jesus looking you in the eye and asking you to answer these questions.
- Can you by worrying add a single hour to your life? (Mt. 6:27).
- Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? (Mt 7:3).
- Why are you so afraid? (Mt 8:26).
- Why did you doubt? (Mt 14:31).
- What good will it be for [you] to gain the whole world, yet forfeit [your] soul? (Mt 16:26).
- Do you have eyes but fail to see, and ears but fail to hear? (Mk 8:18).
Good questions deserve honest answers.
