I will come back and take you to be with me.

Jesus told his disciples, “I will be with you only a little longer” (Jn 13:33).
They were stunned. They were like children seeing mom and dad putting on their coats and heading out the door. “Where are you going?” “Can we go with you?” “Who will stay with us?”
Jesus’ comments were confusing: “I’m going back to my Father’s house.” “You can’t go with me now; I will come for you later.” “The Father will send the Spirit, and he will stay with you.”
The same answers are for you:
- He is in heaven preparing a place for you.
- He will come back for you and take you to be with him.
- In the meantime, the Holy Spirit is with you and will never leave you.
He is coming back for you.
