Grace and peace be yours in abundance.
—1 Peter 1:2
The night before he died, Jesus told his disciples, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid” (Jn 14:27).
That legacy of peace was not just for them; it was for all disciples—your name is on the list of beneficiaries.
It is the peace of justification: “Since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God” (Rom 5:1).
It is the peace of reconciliation: God reconciled us through Jesus, “having made peace through the blood of his cross” (Col 1:19–20).
It is the peace of God-given hope: “May the God of hope fill you will all joy and peace as you trust in him” (Rom 15:13).
No Jesus, no peace.
Know Jesus, know peace.
