I bring you good news of great joy.
—Luke 2:10
What if your Bible ended with Malachi—if you turned the last page of the Old Testament and there was nothing more?
There would be no Luke 2:10–11. “I bring you good news of great joy . . . Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you.”
No John 3:16. “God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
No Hebrews 8:12. “I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.”
No John 14:2–3. “I am going to prepare a place for you. . . . I will come back and take you to be with me.”
If it ended with Malachi: No gospel. No salvation. No hope.
The New Testament is the most
exhilarating book in your library.
